Someone is totally BUSTED

And I'm talking about my faker child, Elijah!


Yes, he is the biggest lil' faker out there. He will only walk w.his walker and if I try to have him stand alone he just squats down to the ground, like he just absolutely CAN'T walk. Well this kid has stood and took one step a few days back, so I know he can do a lil' step, but tonite he gave himself away big time.


So as he was pulling his teddy bear off his ottoman he started to back up (unassisted mite I add) and didn't even realize he was totally giving himself up. Yup, he actually took three steps and had no problem with balance or movement. So yes, my lil' boy can walk. I guess he's just not ready to show us, just YET! But I'm def. gonna have my camera ready now to get those lil' steps on video!

It's happening...

I'm so, so proud of myself. After much thought about Newborn Photography I had my first run of the mill with it. And my oh my, was I in heaven. I didn't think I would have so much fun with it. But I truly Loved every bit of it. From meeting the families to setting up the props to just laughing with my mom (assistant). Yes, who better to have as your assistant and yell at and not feel bad about it ;) but she is such a trooper and I honestly couldn't have done it without her. So here are two lil' sneak peeks of the two photo shoots I did.

I'm overly obsessed with matching all of Eli's outfits, from his hat down to his socky's. So, the day I went to work out, Moi dressed Eli and I gotta say it was pretty darn cute. Not one thing matched, but ya know what he got him dressed and that's all that mattered. I left him dressed like that and took a walk around the block with his walker, cuz that's what a good wife does :) 

Hitting close to home...

About a week ago my cousin posted a post on FB that just hit so close to my heart.

Please pray for my good friend Deanna and her 8 year old son Jacob. He was diagnosed with Brainstem Glioma a Thursday,the tumor is very aggressive and growing very fast. He is now not even able to walk or see out of one eye!! They are unable to operate on it because of where it's located in the brain. Even with treatment (radiation & kemo) Jacob has only a 30% chance of living for the next 3-6 months!! A website will be created for Jacob for donations or services, I'll keep you posted.

Being a mother now, especially to a little boy myself, my heart is breaking for his mother and family. I couldn't imagine what she was feeling when she heard this horrible news, when she was just watching her lil' boy running and playing around. This story really hit a note in my soul and I feel compelled to share. Even a dollar can help this family. My family has gotten together and we plan to help out with as much as possible because NO mother deserves to watch her child die.

My big 11 month old...

So I'm a lil' behind on posting my sweet boy's 11 month mark. I'm 12 days behind, sorry bub!


But, here we are exactly 2 weeks until my baby boy has his first birthday party. I can't believe it. But I'm loving the stages his in. He just amazes me everyday.


So heres the new on my lil' boy:


*Still in size 4 diapers.
*Now in 18-24 month clothing.
*Now nursing only 4x a day. (thank you lord)
*You now drink out of a straw cup. It's so cute to see you drink from it.
*Now needs carbs in every meal or he'll be begging for more :)
*Walking with his walker everywhere. We even go outside now to walk around the block 
  and this kid LOVES it.
*He learned his first sign:please. And now he signs please for everything. I'm trying to
 teach him more, and food, but right now he's stuck on please.
*Still a great listener and sharer :)
*Sleeps from 8-8. Sometimes 930 if I get lucky or if he's had a long day.
*Is still obsessed with giving kisses. 
*Learning how to throw a lil' tantrum. And when he does he knows he's not being a good 
 boy cuz he'll lean in and give me a kiss to say sorry. I sure have one smart lil' man.
*His vocab is amazing. Papa, mama, agua, nahla and hi are his words of choice. 
*LOVES to be outside. He still has no interest for TV. This kid loves to just be outside. ALL 
 day if he could.
*He can stand alone for a few secs., but still isn't confidant to take steps. Even though I
 know he can :)
*You LOVE to open and close any door.
*Throwing has always been a fav of yours, but now you like to find a tub or some form of 
 bowl to throw the object you have in.
*He is starting to have extreme people anxiety. Well not starting, but continuing. We 
 can't do nursery at church yet. But I know he'll come around.
*All he wants is to be with mommy lately.
*The absolute best part of him is his fake laugh he now imitates. I have to get it on tape. 


I'm just so obsessed with this lil' boy. He is my ALL! I still can't believe we are almost a year of him being in our life's and making them change for the better. He's just my perfect lil' being!
